Back from the Into the Wool Fiber Retreat – I miss all the ladies I met, and all the times I had. I wish it could have been 10 more days. I try not to really carry on about it, but there is quite a bit of acquisition at the end. Along with that, there are a couple of little FO’s, a couple of WIPs, and some spinning!
FO: Cotswold Lambie and the first of several ZK 2014 Swap Handmade Goodies.
WIPs: Lighthouse Socks and G’day Boomerang
Acquisitions:
- HGL sock in Cinnamon Bun, Marceline, and Tardis in Shadow for a Color Affection (Happy-Go-Lucky Yarns),
- a Nightfall Shawl Ball (fingering weigtht) in the retreat colorway (Fibrofibers, destined to be See You In September, or See You In September),
- some Dewey Sock in Tango and Hybrid in Thinking of Mel (Daizieknits),
- Luxe sock in Aurora Borealis and preordered the retreat colorway on Journey sock (which will probably be the other See You In September) (Unwind),
- some aran-weight self-striping in the Beach Bum colorway (Hiwassee Creek Dyeworks).
- Traded some yarn in the Brown Bag Swap for some beautiful sock yarn in the Nebula colorway from A Thing for String,
- and my door prize was Two If By Hand sport in Whiz Bangs colorway.
Thank you to Daizie Knits, A Riot Of Color, and Happy-Go-Lucky for your donations.
On second thought – those miniskeins may become a Leftie. We’ll see.
Please, keep those mini skeins for yourself. The lefties would be perfect, or maybe a magic ruffle shawl. There, I decided it for you.
