WIPs

  • A little crochet box for my remotes – made from my own little brain out of t-shirt yarn from a goodie bag. Ran of out yarn a little short. Considering trying again with a different yarn as the bottom.
  • Pavoyou must get some Tango from Daizieknits.
  • Garnet Jane – I’ve started another Jane!

Acquisitions

In question time, I answer a few more questions and forget how many yards are in a mile. It’s 1760. I was WAY off. Way off. So, I am not as close to SABLE as I thought! Yay!

This Week from Pinterest:

  1. 1 pound ground turkey instead of 1.5 lb ground beef
  2. Added a couple teaspoons beef soup base and seasoning after brown and before adding beer
  3. Onion powder instead of onions
  4. Only 1 packet of brown gravy (and next time I make this I’ll not make it separately in it’s own pan – I’ll just pour it all in the pan with the beef
  5. 1 can golden corn and 1 can of peas n carrots instead of the frozen ones.  Just dumped them on top of the meat mix instead of putting them in the pan.
  6. As an afterthought sprinkled some garlic powder and thyme over the meat mixture.
  7. Used instant potatoes (Idahoan Applewood Bacon and Cheddar potatoes) instead of making from scratch
  8. Since the potatoes already had the flavor, just sprinkled a little cheese on top for looks and sprinkled a little parsley over that to make it pretty.

Question time!
